It felt like yesterday I was working on Snow White Panto collateral for Rose Theatre. Now, 18 months have passed, I finally have the time and motivation to add this piece to my online portfolio!
The biggest challenge as a Freelance Creative is finding time to collate and add them to my Book of Work. The second challenge is selecting which ones to showcase. As a contractor, it's essential to have a diverse portfolio. While I have extensive experience in motion graphics, storyboarding, and social media videos, I need to add more examples of these in my portfolio. This year, I aim to enrich my portfolio with more dynamic content. Stay tuned for updates.
This particular project was for Rose Theatre, produced during my time with Really Helpful Marketing in Maisemore, Gloucester. The goal was to design a range of graphics for "Snow White," combining its classic appeal with a modern digital flair. This project was more than just design; it was about crafting a visual story that could be adapted across various platforms, including social media and print.
As the lead creative, I collaborated with a talented team, including a skilled copywriter and a visionary senior account director. Our combined strengths were crucial to the project's success.
Our journey through this project showcased the effectiveness of a well-planned creative process. We smoothly transitioned from concept development to intricate design and finally to the polished artwork. Each phase balanced creativity and strategy, ensuring our final product was not only visually stunning but also effectively told the story.
In the digital era, a strong online presence is crucial. We created captivating graphics for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, each tailored to the platforms' unique styles and audiences. Additionally, we valued traditional media, designing print brochures in various sizes for a wider reach.
Our version of "Snow White" brought a new twist to the timeless tale. It was vital that our designs captured the essence of the story while also signaling a departure from the traditional narrative. By integrating digital elements, we forged a visual language that was both familiar and innovative.
The outcome was a dynamic visual narrative that engaged audiences across all platforms. Our designs significantly enhanced the pantomime's visibility and audience engagement, demonstrating the impact of graphic design in storytelling.
This project was a creative journey, blending art and technology to tell a captivating story. As a graphic designer, my aim is to bring stories to life through compelling visuals, whether for a theatrical production, a corporate brand, or a personal project.
Are you looking to bring your vision to life? Let's connect and create something magical together!
